The pillow tray – ultramarine is a hand-cast concrete object finished with a deep, matte ultramarine pigment layer. Like the original, it plays with the contrast between softness and solidity, mimicking the shape of a sunken cushion while being made from solid fine concrete.
Each tray is made to order and individually hand-finished, resulting in subtle variations in texture and color. It measures 15 × 15 × 5 cm (6 × 6 × 2 in) and weighs approximately 1.3 kg (2.8 lbs).
The deep blue pigment layer is carefully applied by hand, adding to the uniqueness of each piece but also extending the production time slightly. Depending on demand, dispatch may take several days. Please note that the colour layer is not heat-resistant – direct contact with hot objects can cause dark stains on the surface.
